These terms apply to your use of poweriton.co.uk, operated by Power IT Group Limited (“Power IT”, “we”, “us” or “our”). Please read them before using the website. If you do not agree to these terms, please stop using it.
For questions about these terms or the website, email enquiries@poweriton.co.uk.
Website information and service enquiries
The website introduces our technology services and provides articles and browser tools for general information. Its content is not advice tailored to your business, systems or circumstances. Check that information is suitable before relying on it, and obtain appropriate professional advice for important decisions.
Submitting a form, sending an email or discussing a project does not, by itself, create a contract for services or commit either party to proceed. The scope, deliverables, charges, payment terms, support and other obligations for paid work must be agreed separately. Any service agreement governs that work; these website terms do not replace it.
Acceptable use
You may use this website for lawful purposes. You must not:
- Attempt to access systems, accounts or data without authorisation.
- Introduce malicious software, exploit vulnerabilities or interfere with the website’s operation.
- Send fraudulent, unlawful, abusive or unsolicited promotional material through our forms.
- Use automated requests in a way that disrupts the website or prevents other people from using it.
- Use website content in a way that infringes another person’s rights or misrepresents an association with Power IT.
If you find a security issue, contact us with enough information to understand it. Do not access or disclose other people’s information while investigating.
Content and intellectual property
Unless identified otherwise, the website’s text, branding, designs and other materials belong to Power IT or are used with permission. Third-party names, trade marks, software and materials remain subject to their owners’ rights and any stated licences.
You may read, link to, download or print reasonable extracts for your own reference or internal business use, keeping any ownership notices and acknowledging Power IT as the source. Other copying, redistribution or commercial exploitation requires permission unless an applicable licence or the law permits it. Do not imply that we endorse you or your services.
You retain any rights you have in information you submit to us. Only share material that you are entitled to provide. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information in enquiries.
Playground tools
Our formatting, encoding, decoding, hashing and UUID tools run in your browser and are provided as convenient utilities. Check their output before using it in production systems or making decisions based on it. For example, decoding a token does not verify its signature or establish that its contents are trustworthy, and a generated hash does not by itself establish that a file is safe.
The tools do not send your input or results to us or save them in browser storage. Take care when using sensitive information on a shared device, with browser extensions or when copying results to your clipboard. We do not acquire ownership of your input or results through your use of a tool.
Availability and external links
We aim to keep the website useful and accurate, but content may contain mistakes or become outdated. We may update, suspend or remove pages or tools, including for maintenance or security. We do not promise uninterrupted access or that every page or tool will be free of errors. Tell us if you spot a problem so we can investigate.
Links and third-party resources are provided for convenience. Their operators control their content, availability and terms. A link does not by itself mean that we endorse a website or accept responsibility for its content.
Responsibility and your legal rights
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits responsibility for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Nothing removes any mandatory consumer rights you may have.
If you use the website as a business, we are not responsible for loss of profit, revenue, business opportunities or anticipated savings resulting from use of, or inability to use, this free website or its tools. This does not change our obligations under a separate service agreement.
If you use the website as a consumer, we remain responsible for losses caused by our breach of these terms that were reasonably foreseeable when you used it. A loss is foreseeable if it is an obvious consequence of the breach or was contemplated by you and us at that time.
Privacy and cookies
Read our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal information and our Cookie Policy for browser storage, Google services and your controls. Using the website or accepting these terms does not itself give consent to optional cookies or marketing.
Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms as the website or its features change. The date above shows the latest revision. Revised terms apply to use of the website after they are published; they do not retrospectively change a separate service agreement.
Applicable law and disputes
These website terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. For business users, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes relating to them.
If you are a consumer, you retain any mandatory protections of the law where you live and any right to bring a claim in your local courts. Please contact us first if you have a concern so we can try to resolve it.
